Deering NH Permanent Part-Time Patrolman Posted On: Jun 07, 2016 Deering Police Department Deering, NH 03244 MEMORANDUM?June 5, 2016 TO:?INTERNAL FROM: Chief Pushee RE: Advertisement – Permanent Part-Time Police Officer EXPERIENCED PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER The Deering (NH) Police Department is seeking experienced applicants to fill a permanent Part-Time Police Officer position. This position will normally be scheduled between 20 and 30 hours weekly. This position is not supplanting a full time officer position, but is intended to consolidate several part-time positions that are currently unable to satisfactorily fill the current scheduling needs of the department. This will be classified as a non-benefited part-time position. Pay will be commensurate with experience, as approved by the Board of Selectman. The Deering Police Department is a general law enforcement agency, and takes responsible for all Criminal and Motor Vehicle Enforcement and Investigations, Community Policing, Community Services, and First Responder Services in assistance to our Fire and Rescue services within Deering and under our Mutual Aid Agreements. Applicants should be Certified Police Officers in New Hampshire (or be eligible to obtain a NH Police Certification through a reinstatement or reciprocal process) and have several years of verifiable Civilian or Military Law Enforcement work experience. The ideal candidate would be a recently retired (or soon to be retired) Police Officer who has experience in community policing concepts, experience with investigating all manners of crimes, and the desire to continue his/her public service while proactively patrolling in a rural community.
